The team:
Founder Director
Fuad Chowdhury is a film-maker who specialises in films with a strong social conscience. He is one of the founder director of UNL. He has produced films, TV dramas, docudramas, documentaries and TV spots in Canada, USA, India and Bangladesh. Several of his documentaries have received international film awards and five of his films are used extensively by educational institutions across Canada.
He also worked as a news producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and at CTV (Canadian Television) in Toronto. He was the commissioning editor of Ekushey Television in Dhaka and supervised eight weekly programmes as executive producer dealing with gender, child rights, environment and education.
He worked as an executive producer on a number of weekly BTV children’s programmes, including Agami and Swapnil Agami, sponsored by Plan International and Sesampur, based on the internationally renowned Sesame Street.

Shahrear Taposh has recently arrived from London. He has extensive experience in the field and his passions are to be involved in business start-ups, and development. He has been developing the team to make some changes in this organization which he succeeded eventually.
Associate Producer
As an associate producer, Badsha has over 5 years of experience working on various types of TV productions. He also directed few renowned documentaries for USAID-PRICE and UCEP Bangladesh. He has also been involved in theatre production for the last 7 years besides performing on stage. As UNL’s designated associate producer, he supervises production and post-production of documentary film projects.
Video editor and voice recordist
Sohel has been working as fulltime Editor from the very beginning of UNL’s operation. He is responsible for organizing editing facilities and scheduling. He digitizes selective footages, rough edit, and line up, master download and produces CD, DVD, and VHS as requested by producers for program edit. He has experience in working in RTV, Digonto TV and Boishakhi TV as video editor as well.

Starting as an intern at UNL, under guidance and instruction of our senior editor, Nahid has become a valuable team member by being behind every project that we do and ever increasing talents to accommodate more creativity and output.

Shahin has over 10 years of experience in Graphics Design. He has worked as an Assistant Video Editor for Impress Telefilms Limited and as Video Editor since 2002. He joined UNL in 2008 as full time video editor.
